This role involves installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems to ensure the safety and compliance of commercial, industrial, and government properties across mid-Missouri. Key Responsibilities

  • Installation:
    • Layout sprinkler systems according to blueprints and project specifications.
    • Cut, thread, and assemble pipes and fittings.
    • Install sprinkler heads, hangers, supports, and other components.
    • Drill holes through walls and floors for pipe runs.
  • Maintenance & Repair:
    • Inspect existing sprinkler systems for damage or leaks.
    • Conduct routine testing and maintenance of systems.
    • Repair or replace faulty or worn-out sprinkler components.
  • Code Compliance:
    • Understand and adhere to local fire codes and safety regulations.
    • Ensure all installations meet compliance standards.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and repairs.
    • Report non-compliance or system issues to supervisors.
Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in a similar role, especially in pipe threading, is preferred but not required; we provide training.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, and schematics.
    • Proficiency with hand tools such as pipe cutters, threaders, porter-band saws, wrenches, and drills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
    • Ability to lift heavy materials and work on ladders or scaffolding.
  • Other:
    • Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.

Work Schedule
