Job summary

HLB Gross Collins, P.C. is seeking a Spring 2028 Tax Intern to join our Kennesaw, GA office. You will learn and grow across public accounting, collaborating with a team to help clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

You will work on a variety of client engagements, prepare tax returns, research tax laws, and gain hands-on experience with tax software under a dedicated mentor. In-person location in Kennesaw, GA, and this is a paid internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• GPA of 3.4/4.0 or higher.
• Curious, proactive, and able to take on tasks to completion.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of client engagements in various industries.
• Prepare state and federal tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other businesses.
• Identify and assess domestic and international tax matters.
• Research tax laws, rules, and regulations; analyze their application to engagements.
• Review data entry to reconcile technical tax issues.
• Research business and industry trends to assist in proposal development.
• Develop proficiency with various tax software.
• Grow and learn under a dedicated mentor.
• Collaborate and network with staff, managers, and partners.
