Job summary

Peraton in San Diego is seeking a Spring & Summer 2027 Project Manager / Scrum Master Co-op to support the County of San Diego contract from January 2027 through August 2027. This internship will have you guiding software delivery teams through sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and Kanban boards.

As a Co-op, you will gain hands-on experience in Agile program delivery, help teams meet deadlines, and collaborate with Peraton professionals on projects modernizing County services,

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• High School Diploma and some advanced training.
• Currently undergrad or graduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban principles.
• Strong organization skills and comfort facilitating meetings and tracking action items.

Responsibilities

• Support sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and Kanban boards to keep delivery teams moving.
• Help teams deliver County projects on time and gain hands-on experience in Agile delivery.
• Collaborate with Peraton and County of San Diego stakeholders on the CoSD program.

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Spring & Summer 2027 Project Manager / Scrum Master Co-op to support the County of San Diego Contract from January 2027 through August 2027.

As Project Manager / Scrum Master Co-op students will keep software delivery teams moving by supporting sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and Kanban boards. You'll help teams deliver County projects on time and gain hands‑on experience in Agile program delivery.

Peraton is the County of San Diego's IT and telecommunications partner, supporting the technology that County departments rely on to serve more than 3 million residents, from public health and social services to public safety and libraries. As a intern/co‑op on the CoSD program, you'll work alongside Peraton professionals on real projects that modernize County services, including emerging work applying AI to how software is designed, built, and delivered.

Co‑op structure: 40 hours/week throughout the duration of the co‑op, with a hybrid work arrangement based in San Diego, CA.#PeratonIntern

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• US Citizenship
• HS Diploma and some advanced level training.
• You are a current undergrad or graduate student and have completed progress or pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban principles
• Strong organization skills and comfort facilitating meetings and tracking action items

Desired Qualifications

• Scrum certification (PSM I or CSM) or CAPM
• Experience with JIRA or ServiceNow
• Team leadership experience through student organizations, capstone projects, or work
• Exposure to software development projects

Target Salary Range

The rate / range per hour below represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
