Job summary

Education Jobs NJ is seeking a Spring Head Softball Coach for Arthur L. Johnson High School. This stipend position leads both junior varsity and varsity programs, emphasizing student-athlete development on and off the field.

The ideal candidate will foster a positive team culture, coordinate with the Athletic Director on schedules and resources, and ensure compliance with district and state policies while promoting academics and leadership among players.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for NJDOE Coaching Certification and CPR/AED certification.
• Concussion Awareness training completed.
• Fingerprint clearance as required by Clark Public Schools and the NJDOE.
• Three letters of recommendation and a cover letter addressed to the Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the softball program for junior varsity and varsity.
• Develop and implement an off-season training program.
• Promote academics, leadership, and character development among student-athletes.
• Coordinate with the Athletic Director on scheduling, equipment, and budget.
• Build relationships with the school, community, and youth programs to support the program.
• Ensure compliance with NJSIAA, NJILL, and Clark School District policies.
