University of Kentucky is seeking a 2027 Environmental Intern (Spring) in Lexington, KY. The role is a temporary, full-time internship for spring 2027 with responsibilities including hands-on environmental education and youth engagement.

Interns will teach classes, run activities at multiple 4-H camps, and develop an approved environmental project with supervision. Housing assistance is provided and deadline to apply is 04/01/2027.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months experience with Extension or related environmental education.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work long hours in varying outdoor conditions.

Responsabilités

• Develop and teach hands-on environmental education classes.
• Lead recreational activities: games, campfires, singing, hikes or similar events.
• Oversee an environmental project approved by on-site supervisor and document it as a written plan.
