Chemours is seeking a Chemical Engineer Co-op to join our Manufacturing Technology team in Fayetteville, NC. You will work with Technology and Operations on hands-on projects in a chemical plant, gaining experience alongside engineers and contributing to real-time engineering work.
Effective co-ops communicate with impact, show initiative, and are curious. You’ll support process improvements and collaborate with vendors on equipment specs, while pursuing your undergrad degree in Chemical
Qualifications
- Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Sophomore or above at time of assignment.
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or similar fields.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Responsibilities
- Working with experienced engineering professionals on improvement and expansion projects
- Assisting operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving
- Participating in process safety management activities and reviews
- Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
- Implement process improvements through a management of change process
- Collaborate with external vendors to specify new and replacement equipment
