Job summary

Bowers Accountants & Advisors is seeking motivated interns to join the Tax team for the 2027 Tax Internship Season, with Spring scheduling February–April 15. Flexible hours are offered to fit student schedules, and sponsorship cannot be accommodated.

The role provides hands-on tax experiences, mentorship, and exposure to accounting workflows within a dynamic firm. Candidates should be actively enrolled in Accounting or Finance, aiming for CPA eligibility, and possess strong organization and

• Active enrollment in Accounting or Finance.
• Interested in pursuing a career in public accounting.
• Preferably pursuing the CPA eligibility requirements (120–150 credits).
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Be a part of the Tax team and learn the business of Tax.
• Plan and prepare Tax services as directed by our Tax Staff.
• Collaborate with our Tax Accountants for support and learning tools.
• Become familiar with and effectively utilize software in assigned areas.
• Communicate concise and accurate project status updates.

Responsibilities

• Be a part of our Tax team and learn the business of Tax

• Plan and prepare Tax services as shared by our Tax Staff

• Collaborate with our Tax Accountants for further support and learning tools

• Communicate concise and accurate project status updates

• Learn about Tax processes and policies

• Develop the ability to identify, understand, and address accounting issues.

• Actively participate in firm outings and activities as able.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment and a major in Accounting or Finance

• Interest in pursuing a career in public accounting

• Preferably pursuing the 120-150 credit-hour academic requirement toward CPA eligibility

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
