Job summary

Gray Media Training Program SPRING '27 – KYTV/KSPR in Springfield, MO offers a 10-week immersive, paid internship for aspiring producers, MMJ, meteorologists, and media sales professionals.

You’ll work about 25 hours per week, own real assignments, learn writing, shooting, video editing, and digital storytelling, and position yourself for full‑time opportunities within Gray Media’s nationwide station network.

Qualifications

• Be currently enrolled in college/university pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
• Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude.
• Desire to work in broadcast television and local media.
• Earning a degree in Broadcast Journalism/Communications or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own real-world assignments as producer, MMJ, meteorologist, or media sales executive.
• Create content for TV and digital platforms.
• Collaborate with industry veterans to gain hands-on experience.
• Dedicate 25 hours per week for 15 weeks to build a portfolio.
• Position yourself for full-time opportunities within Gray Media’s network.
• Learn shooting, video editing, and writing for on-air and web.
• Shoot video and conduct interviews.
