Job summary

Elliott Davis offers the ENVISION Internship, a nationally recognized program designed to launch your accounting career. You will explore auditing, consulting, advisory, compilations and tax services while gaining hands-on client exposure and professional development opportunities.

As an ENVISION Intern, you will develop technical competence, teamwork, and growth mindset through structured experiences and community service.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accounting program (or related major).
• GPA of 3.25 or greater required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and expectations for an ENVISION Intern:

• Professional/Technical Competence - Researches and consults on various tax projects/matters - Learns to apply Information Technology tools and tax software to be used for preparation - Receives exposure to the preparation and timeliness of business correspondence
• Client Focus - Receives direct experience visiting with and/or working on client matters - Learns to apply exemplary work habits and maintain confidentiality at all times - Builds sense of teamwork by becoming part of client service team
• Business Focus - Hones communication skills and keeps manager informed of work assignments’ status - Develops strong time and work management skills - Gains a deep understanding of the firm and its capabilities/services
• Staff Development - Fosters environment of collaboration - Learns about and develops a growth mindset and approach to work
• Personal Development - Understands and develops strengths utilizing the StrengthsFinder assessment - Cultivates a sense of importance around engaging in community service and leadership

Requirements for ENVISION Interns:

• Must be enrolled in an accounting program (or related major)
• Preference is for students to be a graduated senior by the time the internship commences
• Must have a GPA of 3.25 or greater
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
