Job summary

Noblis is seeking a Spring internship (January 2027 start) to support a technology scouting and risk assessment platform project. The role focuses on data discovery, ETL development, and platform enhancements within an agile team.

Ideal candidates are pursuing CS/Data Science with a 3.3 GPA, are U.S. citizens, and have at least 1 year in data engineering or software development. 10–20 hours weekly through April 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Data Science with a 3.3 GPA.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Minimum 1 year of academic or professional experience in data engineering or software development.
• Experience with ETL, data wrangling, and data formats (JSON, CSV, XML, APIs).

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate new open-source datasets relevant to tech scouting and national security analysis.
• Develop ETL pipelines to ingest data across multiple formats.
• Assess data quality and coverage gaps for new data source integration.
• Document data source characteristics, schemas, licensing, access methods.
• Support data normalization and transformation to align sources with platform taxonomies.
• Contribute to platform feature development and CI/CD workflows.
• Participate in code reviews and testing.
• Assist with UI/UX improvements and data visualization as needed.
• Collaborate with the engineering team during sprints and stand-ups.
