Job summary

The Kroger Summer Internship Program in Cincinnati is a 15-week immersive experience that provides hands-on learning opportunities, leadership exposure, and projects across marketing and analytics. Rotation dates run January 11 – April 23, offering a structured summer learning path and collaboration with senior leaders.

Interns gain exposure to campaigns, data collection, reporting, and cross-functional teamwork, while developing professional skills and connections with students nationwide.

Qualifications

  • Open to all majors; actively pursuing a degree with GPA 3.0 preferred.
  • Must have US work authorization without future visa sponsorship.
  • High motivation with initiative and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work in teams or independently.
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality of information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Involvement in leadership and community activities.
  • Background in data analysis.
  • Coursework/experience in digital marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist marketing managers with campaign development, execution and measurement.
  • Complete data collection and research; plan, gather, analyze and report data.
  • Provide research on products, competitors, services, and processes.
  • Support stores and divisions with materials as requested.
  • Compile data, summarize findings and present conclusions to the team.
  • Create reports and documentation in response to inquiries or requests.
  • Communicate status updates and potential issues to the team.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide feedback.
  • Complete internship project summary and present to leadership.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Job description

The Kroger Summer Internship Program is a 15 week immersive experience that offers students an opportunity to grow their careers through a variety of focused internship assignments. Rotation dates: January 11 - April 23.

Our program offers competitive pay, hands-on learning experiences, company exposure to senior leaders, and professional development opportunities. Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Kroger Co (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status).

Responsibilities
  • Assist retail and digital marketing managers with the development, execution and measurement of campaigns related to lines of business
  • Complete data collection and research, including all phases of planning, gathering, analyzing and reporting the data
  • Provide research on products, competitors, services, processes, and other informational needs
  • Provide stores and divisions with support materials as requested
  • Compile and organize data, summarize findings and present conclusions to team members
  • Create reports and other documentation in response to inquiries or requests in a timely manner
  • Communicate status updates and any potentials issues to the appropriate team members
  • Participate and provide feedback at team meetings
  • Complete cumulative project (summary of internship accomplishments) and present to leadership team
  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications

Minimum

  • Open to all majors, must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a preferred GPA of 3.0
  • Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Kroger Co (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)
  • Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work
  • Highly motivated with strong leadership skills and the ability to work in groups or independently
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of information
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present information to various levels of the organization
  • Responds to change as a positive challenge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Significant level of multi-tasking
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information and apply to business needs
  • Commitment to providing customer service
  • Experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • Involvement in leadership and community activities
