Job summary

Workiva is seeking a Sales Analyst Intern to support Sales, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Marketing and Customer Success. You will analyze data, build dashboards, and help improve processes from Salesforce to BI tools.

The role emphasizes independence, initiative, and strong communication as you help drive revenue retention and data integrity across teams.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a degree program in Business or related field.
• Technical proficiency with Excel, Word, Google Docs, etc.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or R is a plus; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Sales Analytics and Reporting tasks to support sales performance management.

• Promote process improvements for new and existing processes.
• Validate and research sales-related activities to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate across Sales, Services, Customer Success, IT, Data Science, Finance and Legal.

Job description

The Sales Analyst Intern supports various internal teams, including Sales, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Marketing and Customer Success. These activities include assisting with some or all of the following activities: sales data analysis, contract renewal engagement, revenue retention support, reporting/dashboarding and data cleaning.

What You'll Do

• Perform Sales Analytics and Reporting tasks as assigned to support sales team performance management
• Build reports and dashboards in multiple reporting tools (Salesforce, BI Tools, Excel)
• Promote process improvement & for new and existing processes
• Validate and research sales-related activities to achieve a high level of data integrity
• Build working relationships across the organization to better integrate Sales Operations with teams we support and that are supported by us (i.e. other Sales divisions, Services, Customer Success, Information Technology, Data Science, Finance, Accounting and Legal)
• Support sales team in data collection and interpretation of data to drive increased sales production

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-seeking program in Business or related field of study

Preferred Qualifications

• Technically savvy with the ability to demonstrate a high level of competency using Excel, Word, Google Docs, etc.
• Strong communication and leadership skills demonstrated through leadership positions in community, school, or other programs
• Professional, outgoing, energetic personality with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Attention to detail and follow-through
• Experience with SQL, Python, or R a plus
• Experience using Excel, Word, and Google Docs, a plus

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

• Minimal travel
• Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
