Invariant, a bipartisan government relations and communications firm providing strategic advice to companies, trade associations, nonprofits, and individuals, seeks an Insights and Intelligence Intern for spring 2027. Preference will be given to candidates able to commit to a full-time internship.

The Insights & Intelligence Intern will assist the team in analyzing online conversations and transforming data into clear, actionable insights for clients. This position emphasizes developing foundational skills in social listening and digital analytics using tools such as Brandwatch. It is ideal for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to combine data analysis with storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in developing and refining search queries to capture relevant online conversations.
• Gathering and organizing social and digital data from analytics platforms.
• Detecting trends, patterns, and key themes within large datasets.
• Converting data into clear, concise insights and narratives.
• Supporting the creation of client-ready deliverables (e.g., presentations, written reports).
• Continuously learning and applying new analytical tools and methodologies.
• Supporting internal AI projects as needed.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Interns will begin their term with Invariant in person on January 11, 2027. The compensation for this position is $19/hour for undergraduate candidates and $24/hour for graduate candidates.
