The Structural Stress Engineering is responsible for substantiating the structural integrity of all new product development or production design activities. To accomplish this, detailedstructural analyses and static and fatigue testing of components, assemblies, and full-scale aircraft are performed. Analysts perform stress analysis and fatigue & damage tolerance evaluations in reviewofengineering drawings and write reports to show compliance with the FAA regulations.
Knowledgeofdesign configuration, design criteria including FAR Part 25 regulations, internal and external loads,material properties and stress analysis techniques are used to structurally substantiate airframecomponents.
