Groma, a Boston-based real estate tech company, seeks a finance co-op to automate tasks with AI using Claude, ChatGPT, Python, SQL, and our platforms. You’ll learn our processes, identify improvement opportunities, and help design practical solutions.

As the team’s in‑house AI expert, you’ll connect systems, build auditable workflows with human review steps, support AP/AR, analyze data for trends, and document everything so a non‑technical teammate can run it.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in CS, Data Science, AI, Systems Engineering, MIS, Business Analytics, Fintech, or Finance with technical coursework.
• Have built something real with LLM tools (share an example in your application).

About the Role

This focused on helping our Finance team find practical ways to use AI to enable the department to work more efficiently and accurately. Over six months, you’ll learn how our finance and accounting processes work, identify opportunities to improve them, and help design and implement solutions using tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Python, SQL, and our financial platforms.We're looking for someone who knows more about these tools than we do and wants to teach us. If you'd rather be the resident expert than the person fetching spreadsheets, this is the co-op.

Job Responsibilities:

Skills:

• Knows where AI output needs checking and where it can be trusted
• Can explain technical work clearly to people who don't code
• Strong spreadsheet skills (Google Suite); finance exposure a plus
• Diligent documentation and task management; excellent communication
• Works well independently and on a team
• Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and REST APIs

Experience

• Pursuing a degree in CS, Data Science, AI, Systems Engineering, MIS, Business Analytics, Fintech, or Finance with a focus on technical coursework
• Have built something real with LLM tools (share an example in your application if you have one!)

Compensation

This is a 40 hour per week position and is paid at a rate of $20 per hour.
