Job summary

Tennessee Valley Authority is seeking Spring 2027 Finance/Accounting internship opportunities across Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville and other TVA locations. Interns will gain hands-on experience in financial operations, including payroll, disbursements, revenue, and financial systems maintenance.

Preferred majors include Accounting and Finance, with enrollment in a college program and completion of at least 30 credit hours.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a college/university program.
• Must have 30 semester hours completed.
• Preferred majors: Accounting, Finance.

Responsibilities

• Gain real world accounting experience through a variety of functions including payroll, disbursements, revenue and maintenance of related financial systems.
• Support TVA’s financial transactions and financial close processes, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Assist with cash flow management, liquidity assessment and asset investment; learn enterprise risk assessment and mitigation.
