Job summary

Santa Rita Landscaping in Tucson, AZ seeks full-time Spray Technicians to join a professional team. If you are self-motivated, organized and eager to learn, this role offers on-site application of pesticides and equipment maintenance, with opportunities to become a certified applicator.

Qualifications

• Licensed in OPM Category 4 (Right of Ways) and Category 3 (Turf and Ornamental).
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible to work long days and varying hours.

Responsibilities

• Treat weed, insect, disease and nutritional deficiencies by the application of appropriate products
• Perform pest control applications following company guidelines
• Execute backpack, granular, and high-volume spray applications
• Communicate effectively with Field Supervisors, Account Managers, and coworkers
• Follow safety procedures and laws governing pesticide applications
• Document work via records and logs
• Maintain truck and equipment and report issues promptly

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Treat weed, insect, disease and nutritional deficiencies by the application of appropriate products
• Perform pest control applications following specific Company established guidelines
• Perform a variety of application types including backpack, granular, and high volume spray applications
• Communicate effectively with Field Supervisors, Account Managers, and fellow employees
• Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and laws/regulations governing pesticide applications
• Document all work performed via application records and daily work logs
• Properly maintain your truck and equipment and report any problems with the equipment in a timely manner

Employment Requirements

• Licensed in OPM Category 4 (Right of Ways) and 3 (Turf and Ornamental).
• Ability to work independently, consistently, and efficiently with limited supervision
• Flexible enough to work varying hours to meet the needs of the company, which can include long days
• Ability to frequently lift, pull and push 75 lbs.
• Attention to detail, ability to problem solve, and a strong work ethic to do the job right the first time
• Ability to work and walk for long durations in Arizona weather
• Reliable and punctual
• Valid Arizona driver’s license and a clean driving history
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Previous Sustainable Landscape Management experience is a bonus
