Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East seeks a dependable Spray Technician to join our production team, on-site in Wantage, NJ, preparing surfaces and applying coatings with a focus on quality and safety. Spray Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Spray Technician to join our production team. This position is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying coatings, paints, or finishes to products while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Previous powder coating or spray application experience is a plus, but training will be provided.

Schedule & Pay

• Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• Potential Shift Change: After approximately 90 days of training, candidates may transition to a 2nd shift schedule of 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM based on operational needs.
• Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, masking, or priming materials as needed.
• Mix and apply paints, coatings, or finishes using spray guns and related equipment.
• Ensure even coating coverage and maintain product quality standards.
• Inspect finished products for defects, consistency, and proper finish application.
• Clean and maintain spray equipment and work areas to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous spray application or powder coating experience is a plus, but not required.
• Willingness to learn and be trained in spray coating processes and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and work for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance when needed.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment while wearing required PPE.
