Troon in Tucson, AZ seeks a Spray Technician to apply fertilizers and chemicals on the course, maintain spray equipment, and keep accurate records. The role emphasizes outdoor work, attention to safety, and teamwork within a hospitality-focused property management group.

The ideal candidate will be willing to learn, detail oriented, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Pesticide Applicators License can be pursued within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to wear spray applicator suits, full face respirators, or chemical-resistant apparel.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Perform simple calculations.
  • Willing to learn.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Keep the area neat and organized.
  • Have or are willing to obtain a Pesticide Applicators License within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Apply fertilizer and chemical applications.
  • Update spray records, inventory, and MSDS sheets.
  • Calibrate spray equipment and fertilizer spreaders.
  • General upkeep and maintenance on spray equipment.
  • Over time, diagnose pest and fungus issues.

The desired candidate would be someone who enjoys working outdoors, is a team player, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and appreciates the value of hard work.

Duties include, but are not limited to, mixing, preparing, and applying chemical solutions (insecticides, herbicides, fungicides). The candidate will also keep up with pesticide and fertilizer inventory as well as keep records of pesticide and fertilizer applications.
