Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Spray Technician to join the spray crew under the Chem Spray Manager. You will spray chemicals, help ensure chemical safety, and train other crew members as directed.

Qualifications include obtaining a QAL, basic knowledge of plant material, and ability to communicate in English and Spanish. The position requires physical work outdoors, long days, and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Description

The Spray Technician is a member of the spray crew who reports to and takes direction from the Chem Spray Manager and provides instruction to other members of the spray crew.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Spray application of chemicals
• Possess an awareness of and commit to Chemical Safety
• Ability to follow through on assigned tasks
• Follow instructions accurately

Education And Experience

• Has or can obtain a QAL
• Basic knowledge of plant material
• Able to communicate in English & Spanish - oral and written

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic
• Work near or about natural bodies of water
• Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required)
• Ability to work in extreme conditions - temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
• Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto the trailer (up to 50 lbs.)
• Ability to bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the day

Work Environment

• Work outdoors in extreme conditions near automotive traffic, natural bodies of water, and direct sunlight.

Compensation and Benefits

$25-$38/hour depending on experience
