Job summary

CANPACK Group is seeking a maintenance technician in Indiana to ensure spray and necker machines operate at peak efficiency within quality specifications. You will assist with equipment operation, perform daily maintenance and audits, and conduct basic repairs while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires 1–3 years of mechanic experience in manufacturing, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience as a Mechanic in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
  • High attention to detail and safety awareness is required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist operation of spray and/or necker equipment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Perform daily maintenance plans and audits of machines/housekeeping.
  • Perform and report technician-level repairs (basic technical repairs).

Position Summary

Ensure spray and/or necker machines are operating at peak efficiency within quality specifications.

Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
  • Assist with operation of spray and/or necker equipment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Perform daily maintenance plans and audits of machines/housekeeping according to maintenance plan.
  • Perform and report technician-level repairs (basic technical repairs).
  • Trouble shoot faulty equipment and assemblies. Assist Spray/Necker Specialist with repair of defective parts.
  • Perform routine quality checks at the appropriate stage of production.
  • Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
  • Vocational education a plus ( Mechanical, Technical or similar ).
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus .
  • 1-3 years' experience as a Mechanic in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
  • Self-motivated with high attention to detail preferred.
  • Problem solving skills .
  • Ability to work independently or as a team .
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire-prevention, and environmental protection regulations .
