Silgan Containers Manufacturing Corporation in Burlington, IA seeks a Spray Machine Operator to join its manufacturing team. Starting pay is $23.79 per hour with a $1 shift differential. Shift is 6PM–6AM, offering competitive benefits and a clear path for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor spray system performance and adjust to ensure proper film weights, distribution and appearance.
• Perform minor maintenance on spray pumps, guns, and related equipment; handle hazardous materials and wastes properly.
• Inform Supervisor or QA Supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and quality issues.
• Perform quality checks and adjust machines as needed.
• Work with SPC tools and interpret charts.
• Document out-of-gate conditions and record material usage.

Starting pay is $23.79 per hour

Shift: 6PM - 6AM

What you'll do:

• Continually monitor the performance of the spray system and make all adjustments necessary to assure proper film weights, distribution, and appearance.
• Perform minor maintenance on spray machine pumps, guns, and related equipment. Handle hazardous materials and wastes properly.
• Inform Supervisor and/or Quality Assurance Supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and poor quality materials or supplies.
• Perform quality checks as required and make adjustments to machines as needed.
• Competent in basic SPC, Gainseeker, Protraq and interpretation of SPC charts.
• Document any out of gate / spec conditions on the SGC-500, and react accordingly. Record material usage as required.
