Job summary

TAS in Houston, TX is seeking an Industrial Spray Foam Technician responsible for the safe and efficient application of spray polyurethane foam insulation in industrial environments.

You will review orders, prepare surfaces, set up equipment, document readings, perform inspections, and support ISO compliance; OSHA 10 and respirator qualification preferred. This role requires at least 3 years of experience and the ability to travel between facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Spray polyurethane foam certification or equivalent training preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Respirator qualification and fit testing required.
• Forklift and aerial lift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and production schedules prior to beginning work.
• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, masking, grinding, protection, and environmental conditioning activities.
• Set up, operate, and adjust spray foam proportioners, heated hoses, transfer pumps, spray guns, compressors, and support equipment.
• Verify material batch information, shelf life, storage conditions, and mix ratios before application.
• Apply spray foam systems to required thickness, density, adhesion, and appearance requirements.
• Perform in-process inspections and final inspections utilizing approved inspection criteria and measuring devices.
• Document thickness readings, environmental conditions, material usage, equipment settings, and inspection results.
• Maintain daily production reports, maintenance logs, calibration records, and quality documentation.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance activities on spray equipment.
• Troubleshoot application defects, equipment malfunctions, material issues, and process deviations.
• Identify and segregate non-conforming products and participate in root cause investigations.
• Support customer inspections, quality audits, and ISO compliance activities.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure work areas remain organized and audit ready.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Any other responsibilities as assigned by TAS.
