Job summary

Golfsheds is seeking an experienced Spray Foam Insulation Specialist to lead the insulation process in our production facility. You will own the application from prep to final inspection, ensuring coverage, thickness, and quality align with our standards.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with spray polyurethane foam equipment and a commitment to safety. This role is full-time, on-site, and offers growth within a rapidly expanding manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous professional spray polyurethane foam insulation experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of spray foam proportioners, heated hoses and spray guns.
• Ability to read production plans and follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

Job description

Golfsheds is looking for an experienced Spray Foam Insulation Specialist to own and oversee the spray foam insulation process within our production facility.

This is a hands-on production role responsible for ensuring every Golfshed is properly insulated to our standards for coverage, consistency, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate understands spray foam equipment and application techniques, takes pride in quality work, and can manage the entire insulation process from preparation through final inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee spray foam insulation application during Golfshed production
• Prepare structures and work areas prior to spraying, including masking and protecting surrounding materials
• Apply spray foam consistently to required thicknesses and specifications
• Inspect completed insulation for proper coverage, adhesion, thickness, and overall quality
• Identify and correct voids, gaps, overspray, or other application issues
• Operate, maintain, clean, and troubleshoot spray foam equipment
• Monitor material temperatures, pressures, ratios, and other application requirements
• Manage spray foam materials and communicate inventory needs before shortages occur
• Follow production schedules and complete insulation work within required timelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe spray area
• Work closely with production leadership and other departments to keep units moving efficiently through production
• Help establish and improve spray foam procedures, quality standards, and best practices
• Train additional team members on proper spray foam processes as needed

Qualifications

• Previous professional spray polyurethane foam insulation experience strongly preferred
• Experience operating and maintaining spray foam proportioners, heated hoses, spray guns, and related equipment
• Understanding of proper foam application, thickness, adhesion, substrate preparation, and environmental conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable troubleshooting equipment
• Able to read and follow production plans, specifications, and work instructions
• Dependable and able to complete work according to production timelines
• Able to work independently while also working effectively with a larger production team
• Physically capable of lifting materials and equipment and working on your feet throughout the day
• Comfortable working in appropriate PPE and within a controlled spray environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience with closed-cell spray polyurethane foam
• Spray foam manufacturer or industry training/certifications
• Experience in modular construction, manufacturing, residential construction, or similar production environments
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting spray foam equipment
• Experience leading or training other insulation technicians

Safety & Quality

This position requires strict adherence to all company safety procedures, manufacturer requirements, PPE requirements, ventilation procedures, and applicable workplace safety standards.

The Spray Foam Specialist will be expected to take ownership of the quality of the insulation process and immediately identify and address any conditions that could impact employee safety or finished-product quality.
