Job summary

SURGE Staffing is hiring a Spotter for the first shift to safely move and position trailers in our busy warehouse and distribution facility. You will transport trailers to loading docks and staging areas, assist with loading and unloading, and keep yard operations safe and efficient.

The role requires at least 2 years of experience in a similar position, a high school diploma, the ability to operate yard vehicles and power equipment, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a similar spotter/yard role preferred.
• Ability to operate yard vehicles and power industrial equipment safely.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely move and spot trailers at loading docks and staging areas.
• Attach drive units to trailers and transport trailers to and from dock doors.
• Inspect trucks and equipment before and after use and report defects.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• Follow safety policies and operating guidelines.
• Operate power industrial equipment when required and trained.
• Communicate with warehouse and transportation teams.
• Complete required paperwork and computer-based tasks.
• Maintain a safe, organized yard environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Spotter to safely move and position trailers throughout a busy warehouse and distribution facility. This position is responsible for transporting trailers to and from loading docks and staging areas, assisting with loading and unloading, and maintaining safe and efficient yard operations.

Responsibilities

• - Safely move and spot trailers at designated loading docks and staging areas.
• - Attach the drive unit to trailers and transport trailers to and from dock doors.
• - Inspect trucks and equipment before and after use and report any defects or safety concerns.
• - Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• - Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.
• - Operate power industrial equipment when required and properly trained.
• - Communicate effectively with warehouse and transportation teams.
• - Complete required paperwork, reports, and computer-based tasks.
• - Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient yard environment.
• - Perform other duties as assigned by management.
