Job summary

Atlanta Hawks in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Spotlight Operator to operate follow-spot lighting during Hawks games and other State Farm Arena events. This role requires focus, precision, and the ability to work closely with the Lighting Director and show teams to highlight action on the floor.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years of spotlight operation experience in sports, theater, or live events, and is available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as schedules

Job Summary

The Spotlight Operator is responsible for operating follow spot lighting equipment during Atlanta Hawks games and other live events as needed at State Farm Arena.

Key Responsibilities

• Track & maintain accurate spotlight coverage of players, performers, and other subjects as needed during events.
• Follow direction from Lighting Director or show caller for events.
• Attend rehearsals for all games.
• Communicate effective with other spot ops and Lighting Director during events.
• And any other job duties assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Two years of spotlight operation experience in any setting (sports, theater, etc)

Preferred Qualifications

• The ideal candidate is a dependable, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced live event environment and is committed to delivering exceptional event experiences through high-quality technical execution.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays based on event schedules.
• Ability to track moving subjects accurately and consistently in a fast-paced live environment.
