Kleptz YMCA in Englewood, OH, is seeking a Part-Time Sports Site Supervisor to lead youth and adult sports programs. The role requires ensuring safety, coordinating game days, and maintaining equipment readiness. Availability on weeknights and Saturday mornings/afternoons is needed.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (preferred), at least 6 months of relevant experience, and be at least 18. A driver's license with a clean record may be required for certain driving duties.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to youth and adult sports programs.

• Remains visible to participants while on duty and communicates concerns to supervisor.
• Promotes YMCA programs and recruits participants in line with supervisor's plan.
• Creates an atmosphere of fair play and professional conduct.

Weeknights, Saturday Morning-Afternoon availability needed.

Position Summary:

Provide excellent leadership and support to the youth, teen and adult programs within the guidelines of the YMCA.

Essential Functions:

• Provides leadership to youth and adult sports programs of the branch.
• Responsible for ensuring program quality and safety. Inspects sports site and equipment for safety hazards, damage, or wear.
• Works at all games to ensure all aspects of the games and game days run smoothly.
• Ensures the gym and playing field are ready for games with physical setting and equipment.
• Monitors and provides guidance to site officials.
• Finds substitutes according to set procedures.
• Remains visible to participants when on duty.
• Communicates to direct supervisor any concerns or incidents that may need follow-up
• Promotes other YMCA programs and recruits new participants in support of the Program Director’s plan.
• Creates an atmosphere that is based on fair play and incorporates it in a manner that is both demonstrative and professional.
• Communicates to direct supervisor any suggested improvements, concerns, needed repairs, or incidents that may need follow-up.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma preferred.
• Six or more months of related experience in the area of responsibility.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and completion of YMCA Driver Orientation are required only for employees over the age of 21 and will perform driving responsibilities as part of their role. Candidates under the age of 21 or those without a valid license may still be hired but will not be eligible to drive YMCA vehicles until requirements are met. Optional based on specific assignments.
