Job summary

KDVR/KWGN in Denver is seeking an experienced Sports Reporter to join our team, producing and anchoring high‑quality sports content for television and streaming platforms.

The ideal candidate will shoot, write and edit stories, command a strong on‑air presence, and lead a nightly sports show with extensive live event coverage. College degree and at least four years in sports reporting are required.

Qualifications

• College degree required
• Minimum four years of experience in sports reporting and producing
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Editing experience with Adobe Premiere
• Willingness to work nights and weekends and travel as needed
• Experience covering professional and high-level college sports teams
• Knowledge of ENG cameras and on‑site shooting

Sports Reporter

Fox31 and KWGN Colorado's Very Own Channel 2 are looking for an experienced television and streaming Sports Reporter to join our team.

The ideal candidate has multiple skills and experiences that prepare them for reporting and producing a nightly sports show, shooting, writing and editing sports content, producing digital elements, features and streaming shows and as needed anchoring sportscasts.

Denver is a premier sports city and coverage of our many local professional and college teams is competitive. We are looking for a candidate who is connected with sources and breaks sports news on a regular basis. Strong candidate should have a memorable, energetic and creative delivery.

Responsibilities

• Anchor and produce sports streaming programming
• Strong on-air presence
• Deliver sports stories in a clear and concise manner
• Shoot, write and edit sports stories
• Produce a nightly sports show
• Extensive live coverage from major sporting events
• Demonstrate knowledge of Colorado sports teams, players and storylines
• As needed, co-anchor a nightly sports show and anchor sportscasts
• Respond to breaking sports news and events as required

Requirements

• Open to a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Salary Range

$80k-$90k, Based on Experience
