Job summary

Ozarks First in Springfield, MO, seeks a television and streaming Sports Reporter to deliver compelling sports coverage across broadcast, web, streaming, and social media.

You will develop sources and a pipeline of storylines, bringing energetic and creative delivery to all platforms. This role emphasizes storytelling over simple scores, with opportunities to appear in promotional events.

Qualifications

• College degree required.
• Knowledge of editing - Adobe Premiere.
• Producing knowledge and experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Open to a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of ENG cameras.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Shoot, write, and edit sports stories.
• Anchor and produce sports streaming programming.
• Create content for our website and social media platforms.
• Deliver sports stories in a clear and concise manner.
• Work with news to develop comprehensive coverage of major sporting events.
• Familiar with Missouri sports teams, players, and storylines.
• Respond to breaking sports news with urgency and clear communication.
• Participate in promotional activities, including public appearances.
