Job summary

MID-WILLAMETTE FAMILY YMCA INC in Albany, Oregon is seeking an energetic team member to help run a safe, engaging program for children and adults. Under supervision, you will support sport activities, engage participants, and help maintain a positive, inclusive environment.

As part of the role, you will model YMCA values, follow all policies, and assist with coordination of sports events, while ensuring high levels of service and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills needed.
• Understand and be committed to the YMCA mission and character development.
• Have an understanding of sports rules and regulations pertaining to duties.
• Must meet all pre-employment requirements including: criminal background investigation as required.
• Certifications required within 90 days of hire: CPR/AED, First Aid and Safe schools.

Responsibilities

• Follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures at all times.
• Serve as a role model to all staff, members, and guests by personally demonstrating the YMCA mission and core values at all times.
• Ensure a level of service and engagement that builds relationships and fosters loyalty among those we serve.
• Follow all YMCA policies and procedures (i.e. timecard, personnel, dress code, and emergency procedures. Etc.).
• Assist with sports activities to advance the YMCA Program.
• May do record keeping and tracking of sporting events.
• Put in vacation requests two weeks prior to taking time off as per the vacation policy.
• Give a 2 week notice before resigning from this position.
• Attend all requires All Staff Meetings.
• Complete all other duties as assigned by my supervisor.
