Job summary

Raycom Sports, part of Gray Media, in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Media and Transmission Manager to oversee transmission, media ingest and delivery, and quality control from our Charlotte Operations Center. The role requires coordinating satellite, fiber and IP workflows and maintaining master schedules.

You will support engineering with setup and maintenance, develop SOPs, and manage vendor relationships. A flexible schedule is required, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years in broadcast engineering/remote production
• Proficient with broadcast hardware and software
• Knowledge of IT processes, network security and workflow
• Flexible schedule including evenings/weekends
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Manage Satellite, Fiber and IP Transmission & Distribution
• Coordinate transmission operations, staffing, scheduling and vendor relations
• Create and manage master transmission schedule
• Oversee media ingest and delivery from Tape, Satellite, Cable and IP streams
• Develop SOPs for media transmission and transfer
• Oversee media file organization and maintenance
• Assist Engineering with production setup and maintenance
• Research and recommend new equipment to improve operations
• Flexible work schedule including on-call
