Job summary

The Westfield Area YMCA is seeking a part-time Sports Instructor to join our team in Westfield, NJ. You will organize, supervise and instruct youth sports classes to teach basic sport-specific skills within the YMCA character development framework.

The Fall youth programs include basketball, football, soccer, T-ball and more; candidates should be enthusiastic, with strong communication and a love for working with children. Starts immediately and offers a YMCA membership.

Qualifications

• Min 16 years old.
• Enthusiastic attitude and good communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of various sports such as T-ball, basketball, soccer, track.
• Experience working with children is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize, supervise and instruct sports classes for participants.
• Teach sport-specific skills aligned with YMCA goals.
