The Princeton YMCA, part of the Greater Somerset County YMCA, seeks a Sports Instructor to foster children's physical development through engaging activities. You will supervise children, help plan age-appropriate programs, and promote teamwork in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

This part-time role requires 18+, background checks, CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days, and a commitment to safety and YMCA values in a collaborative team setting.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising children during various sports, recreational, and after‑school activities

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Experience working with children age ranges 2-12 years up
• Sound judgment, ability to prioritize and be self‑directed, and work independently
• Ability to work flexibly with a collaborative team of staff members and volunteers
• Ability to maintain systems for accurate record keeping
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or obtain within 90 days of hire

• Positive, "can do" attitude which is demonstrated by a willingness to pitch in and help wherever needed as well as an ability to anticipate what is needed Must be committed to the goals and objectives of the Princeton YMCA programs
