Job summary

Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort seeks a Sports Operations & General Operations Intern to assist with planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of athletic events and guest-facing programming. You will work with operations teams to support event prep, staff coordination, and on-site execution in a multi-use sports venue.

Qualifications

• Current college student or recent graduate pursuing experience in sports management, recreation, hospitality, or event management.
• Strong interest in sports, events, facility operations, guest service and live events.
• Dependable, professional, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and execution of sporting events, tournaments, camps, showcases and special events.
• Support event setup/breakdown, signage, tables, chairs, barriers, registration, hospitality, and competition areas.
• Maintain event schedules, staff assignments, equipment lists, inventories, and checklists.
• Coordinate communication between organizers, staff, officials, vendors, coaches, athletes, and guests.
• Help monitor events and report safety, guest experience, logistics, maintenance, equipment or staffing issues.
