North 40 Outfitters in Havre, MT, is seeking a Full-Time Sporting Goods Lead to drive sales, lead a team, and ensure exceptional customer service in the Sporting Goods department. The role includes merchandising, inventory control, and safeguarding assets while upholding firearm compliance and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has retail leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to coach staff, manage schedules, and deliver a high-quality shopping

Job Description

North 40 Outfitters in Havre, MT,is looking to hire aFull-Time Sporting Goods Lead to join our team.We believe that each team member plays a vital role in the success of our company. We are looking for authentic and enthusiastic people who love our lifestyle and believe in service before self. As a Sporting GoodsLeadat North 40, you play a key role in the overall customer experience by providing outstanding customer service,generating sales and suggesting products, stocking and merchandising, maintaining a clean and organized department, leading and developing a successful team and safeguarding company assets. Ideal candidate will have prior retail leadership, understand and follow firearm compliance's as well as knowledge and or work experience with all types of firearms.

This full-time position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. This shift can include working weekends and certain holidays and will require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.

• Be a resource on all products related to sporting goods, including fishing, hunting and camping items
• Previous merchandising experience is helpful
• Ability to take initiative, embrace change, and learn new things
• Ability to educate and assist customers on the brands that North 40 sells
• Ability to work well with others, and lead and motivate a team
• Committed to supplying our North 40 guests with phenomenal customer service
• Sales experience, merchandising, and computer skills a plus
• Committed to providing feedback, developing others, and making decisions under ambiguity
• A willingness to lead by example
• Understanding of correct lifting and loading techniques. Physical ability to lift and carry 0-15 lbs. continuously, 15-30 lbs. frequently, and 30-55 lbs. occasionally, andteam lift anything over 55 lbs. Spending 100% of work time on your feet, including use of ladders, rolling staircases and pallet jacks.
