Job summary

IMG Academy seeks a part-time Sporting Event Crew Member to help create exceptional experiences for student-athletes, families, participants, visiting teams, and guests. You will assist with event setups, game-day execution, and breakdown to ensure seamless operations on campus.

The role emphasizes guest service, team collaboration, and flexibility to work various sporting and non-sporting events, including check-ins, gear distribution, and awards ceremonies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in guest service and operational areas for IMG Academy events and game-day operations.
• Support stadium operations during sporting events, including setup, ticketing, ingress, parking, and crowd management.
• Fill game day roles such as stat keeper, team liaison, or video/production assistant as needed.
• Provide support for teams, coaches, guests, officials and IMG staff to ensure smooth experiences.
• Participate in event setup and breakdown to ensure successful execution.
• Support non-sporting events like check-ins, gear distribution, camps, graduations and employee events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

The Sporting Event Crew Member (part time) role plays a key role in creating unique experiences on IMG Academy campus for student-athletes, families, tournament participants, visiting professional teams, and guests. This position aids with event setups, game day execution, and event breakdown to ensure IMG Academy delivers a seamless, world class experience for all participants and attendees.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist in various guest service and operational areas related to events and game-day-operations for IMG Academy
• Support overall stadium operations during sporting events, including but not limited toevent setup, ticket sales, ingress control, parking assistance, giveaway distribution, cleaning support, mobility/transportation, and customer service
• Fill various game day roles during sporting events, including but not limited to official stat keeper, home or visiting team liaison, video/production assistant, or check-in for officials
• Provide support for sports teams, coaches, guests, officials, and other IMG Academy staff to ensure smooth experience
• Participate in event set up and breakdown to provide all necessary resources for a successful event execution
• Support the execution of non-sporting events like boarding school student check-in, sporting gear distribution, summer camp related activities, graduation, and employee celebration events
• Other duties as assigned by management

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to lift, carry, move,pushand pull equipment or boxes up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift
• Ability to work on various indoor and outdoor surfaces including grass, turf, courts, etc. in all weather
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill event tasks
• Must be able to operate office equipment such as computers
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
