The Sport Official (Adult) position officiates indoor adult soccer games, ensuring a safe and positive environment for participants. This is a part-time role primarily scheduled for evening leagues year-round, with some occasional weekend hours. The primary responsibility of recreation staff is to ensure participant safety.
The availability of work hours will depend on program length, weather, and budget.
The full salary range is provided above. The starting pay depends on qualifications and experience.

This role supports the Parks, Recreation, and Libraries Department, which aims to enhance quality of life through diverse leisure, recreational, and informational services, and first-class parks and facilities.
Employees must:
Officiate games fairly, consistently, and accurately according to sport rules and house rules. Ensure a safe, positive environment, serve as a role model, maintain discipline, communicate positively with coaches and spectators, keep score, and report final scores and penalties. Maintain punctuality.
Other duties include assisting with setup and cleanup, minor maintenance, and inventory management.
Education & Experience:
Physical Requirements include stamina for standing, running, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing emergency work. Work is indoors in a high-traffic recreation facility, with loud noise and multiple activities.
Pre-employment requirements include legal work authorization, background checks, and possibly additional screenings.
