Job summary

i9 Sports Corporation is seeking a Sports Instructor in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who will be responsible for managing and leading sports activities while ensuring a fun, safe, and organized experience for participants. The role involves working with volunteer coaches and engaging with families to promote a positive game day atmosphere.

Ideal candidates should have a strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and be comfortable working with children ages 3–15. The position offers opportunities for leadership development within the organization and contributes to a rewarding experience for both instructors and young athletes.

Qualifications

• Ability to work weekends.
• Experience working with children or in team environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the assigned field or court.
• Support volunteer coaches with practices and game management.
• Ensure all practices and games start and end on time.
• Set up and break down fields/courts.
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for players, coaches, and parents.
• Promote i9 Sports core values: fun, safety, and good sportsmanship.
• Create a low-pressure, instructional environment focused on player development.
• Monitor gameplay to ensure safety and fairness.
• Communicate with the Site Manager about any issues.

Job Summary

The Sports Instructor is responsible for managing and leading their assigned field or court while delivering a fun, safe, and well‑organized experience for all participants. This role plays a key part in bringing the i9 Sports mission to life—Helping Kids Succeed in Life Through Sports®—by supporting volunteer coaches, engaging with families, and ensuring a positive game day environment.

• Support volunteer coaches with practices, drills, and game management
• Ensure all practices and games start and end on time
• Set up and break down fields/courts, ensuring equipment is safe and ready for play
• Serve as the primary on‑site point of contact for players, coaches, and parents
• Promote and model i9 Sports core values: fun, safety, and good sportsmanship
• Provide guidance and encouragement to volunteer coaches throughout the day
• Help create a low‑pressure, instructional environment focused on player development
• Monitor gameplay to ensure safety and fairness
• Communicate with the Site Manager regarding any issues or updates
