i9 Sports, founded in Tampa, Florida, is the nation's first and largest youth sports league franchise in the United States, with over 1 million registrations across more than 500 communities. We offer leagues, camps, and clinics for kids aged 3-17 in popular sports such as flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball. Our focus on fun, safety, convenience, and good sportsmanship aims to reinvent the youth sports experience for families nationwide.

Job Summary

The Sports Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the i9 Sports Experience for players and coaches. This role involves building relationships with players, parents, and coaches, and ensuring the delivery of quality instruction. The coordinator will observe, assess, and assist coaches, and participate actively in practices and games across all age groups and skill levels.

Responsibilities

1. Empower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun
2. Teach & demonstrate core concepts including sportsmanship values
3. Supervise the overall operation of designated sport on game day
4. Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge
• Motivated self-starter capable of working independently and solving problems
• Ability to ensure player safety and take charge of situations
• Positive attitude with strong relationship-building skills
• Flexibility to work weekends and some evenings for the full season (approximately 7 weeks)
