Job summary

Seacoast is hiring a Warehouse Machine Operator in Chesapeake, VA to operate spooling machines, manage inventory, and assist with general warehouse duties. This is a full-time, direct-hire role with hours 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, and a paid lunch break.

You will verify footage counter calibration, use a handheld scanner, and maintain a clean workspace. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, warehouse or machine-operating experience, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or machine operating role required.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Comfort using technology required.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Must be able to regularly stand, walk, bend and lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Daily set-up and operation of spooling machine, ensuring machine runs smoothly.
• Run test spool daily to ensure accurate calibration of footage counter.
• Operate hand-held scan gun to scan spools to appropriate location.
• Monitor tool kit and ensure all pieces are present and accounted for.
• Sweep floors, wipe scrap off machinery, throw trash away, clear scrap wire, etc.
• Assist with additional duties as needed.
