Job summary

ITW in Ohio seeks a dedicated Spooler Operator to support tubular wire spooler packaging. The role requires safe operation, adherence to process specs, and reliable attendance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will perform quality checks, document results, manage changeovers, and work closely with leads and maintenance to ensure consistent, high-quality production output.

• Must be able to lift ~65 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Operate spooler safely and adjust as needed.
• Follow process specs for machine setup and changeovers.
• Maintain changeover records.
• Complete setup/changeovers promptly.
• Perform routine and visual quality checks.
• Enter quality checks into Route Card.
• Hold nonconforming products.
• Monitor spooler for quality output.
• Report maintenance issues.
• Communicate with team leads, technicians, and maintenance.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.

Job Description:

The spooler operator will be responsible for the tubular wire spooler packaging process.

• Operate safely and identify/correct unsafe situations.

• Follow process specifications for machine setup and production.

• Keep track of spooling changeovers.

• Complete machine setup/changeover in a timely manner.

• Perform routine quality checks.

• Perform visual quality inspections.

• Enter quality checks into Route Card.

• Place nonconforming products on hold.

• Monitor the spooler to ensure quality products are being produced.

• Report maintenance issues as they arise.

• Communicate with PCs, Team Leads, Process Techs, Maintenance, etc.

• Perform housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Previous Spooling experience.

• Ability to meet production rates.

• Able to lift approx. 65 pounds continually.

• Possess excellent time management skills.

• Able to meet expectations for safety and attendance.

• Possess an excellent quality record.

• Possess an excellent attitude, communication, and teamwork skills.
