Job summary

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville is seeking a Compliance Manager to ensure financial compliance for sponsored projects across campus. You will work with the Director and university officials to keep policies current and lead a small team of compliance officers.

You will develop monitoring programs, oversee audits, and collaborate with the IRIS team to improve reporting and compliance across all departments. Hybrid work with Knoxville-based duties.

Qualifications

• Six years of Sponsored Projects Accounting (Grants & Contract) experience OR eight years of related work experience with background in accounting, auditing, risk assessment or regulatory compliance.
• Experience with computer systems, including spreadsheet software (MS Office).
• Three years prior supervisory oversight of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop and implement financial compliance monitoring program for the Knoxville campus sponsored projects.
• Keep current of federal regulations financial compliance.
• Collaborates with IRIS team in developing reports and programming changes to improve compliance.
• Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures to mitigate risk of non-compliance.
• Manages outside sponsor audit requests for UTK and coordinates with departments to gather documentation.
