First Interstate Bank is seeking an Associate Community Banker to deliver personalized client service at our Spokane, WA Northside branch. You will manage customer needs, open and maintain accounts, and assist in loan-related conversations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role emphasizes cross-selling opportunities, community involvement, and adherence to regulatory requirements with a strong focus on service commitments and relationship-building.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Banking or related experience required.
• Registered Mortgage Loan Originator per the SAFE Act preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers personalized client service in person and over the phone, solving issues and offering solutions.
• Opens and maintains banking products including checking, savings, IRAs, CDs, and basic loans.
• Performs teller duties: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and currency handling.
• Engages in conversations about new consumer loan requests and cross-sell opportunities.
• Identifies referrals to Home Loans, Treasury Solutions, Merchant Services, Business Banking, and Wealth Management.
