Job summary

CLOUD ANALYTICS TECHNOLOGIES is seeking an experienced Splunk engineer to stabilize, optimize, and improve our Splunk environment, focusing on search performance, data reliability, governance, and security-driven analytics.

The role requires hands-on SPL tuning, indexing strategy, data pipeline reliability, and governance hygiene, with opportunities to enable notebook-style analysis and CI/CD integration for detection workloads.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Splunk Enterprise Admin/ES with tuning and performance optimization.
• Expert SPL tuning, indexing strategy, and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience with data pipeline reliability and ingestion stabilization.
• Proficiency in Python or scripting for automation.
• Familiarity with governance: knowledge object hygiene, retention policies, and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Improve speed and efficiency of searches across large datasets.
• Strengthen stability and reliability of Splunk data pipelines for exports and integrations.
• Review and rationalize existing knowledge objects (saved searches, lookups, dashboards).
• Define lightweight governance and lifecycle controls for knowledge objects and detection artifacts.
• Enable notebook-style investigative analysis and AI-driven analytics enhancements; guide CI/CD for security detections.
