Job summary

KMM Technologies, Inc. in Reston, VA seeks an expert Splunk developer for cloud migration projects and advanced dashboard work. You will design and optimize dashboards, craft complex searches, and implement Splunk data models and ITSI features.

Required are 5+ years in Splunk development, a CS/IS degree, and Splunk certifications. This is a hybrid 12-month contract with in-person interviews in Reston, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or IS from a reputed institution.
• Must hold one of Splunk certifications.
• 5+ years of experience in Splunk development with dashboards, visualizations, reports, scheduled searches and alerts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Splunk dashboards to meet business needs.
• Create and optimize searches, reports and alerts using Splunk Search Language.
• Implement KV stores, lookups and data model acceleration.
• Leverage Splunk ITSI for service insights and dashboards.

Job Description:

• Client looking for cloud expertise as they are getting migrating to cloud.
• Strong with Splunk Development and Dashboards
• Exposure to and knowledge of AWS Services
• Admin and Dev Certs definitely help

Needs to be very good with Dashboard Development:

1. Configuring or tweaking Out of the Box dashboards

2. Customizing with Splunk Scripting

Required Skills:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems from a reputed institution

- Must possess one of certifications: Splunk Certified Developer, Splunk IT Service Intelligence Certified Admin

- 5+ years of experience in Splunk development (Create Dashboards, Visualizations, Statistical reports, scheduled searches, alerts and knowledge objects)

- 2+ Experience with Splunk ITSI

- Expert level knowledge and understanding of Splunk "Search" language and building complex queries

- Implement KV stores, lookups, and data model acceleration to optimize search performance and reporting

- Expert-level capabilities with regular expression and statistical functions

- Experience with creating Splunk knowledge objects (field extractions, macros, event types, etc.)

- Strong problem solving, logic, and analytical skills
