Job summary

Symphony Corporation is seeking a Splunk DBA for a 6-month contract, primarily remote with some onsite elements in Madison, WI. The contractor will install, configure, and maintain Splunk Enterprise components on Red Hat environments, manage data ingestion and deployments, and create dashboards for users.

Responsibilities include promoting changes through the SDLC, managing access per security requirements, monitoring health, and identifying areas for improvement while establishing best

Qualifications

• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Splunk Enterprise on RHEL systems, including forwarders, search heads, indexers, deployment server, license master.
• Ability to configure data input, app deployment, and performance monitoring for Splunk environments.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes and promoting changes from development to production.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Splunk components (forwarders, search heads, indexers) on RHEL in cloud environments.
• Configure data inputs and apps, monitor data injection and deployment to Splunk.
• Work with users to create reports and dashboards and promote changes through SDLC to production.
• Manage Splunk access per security requirements and monitor system health and availability.
• Establish best practices, maintain configuration documents, and IAM integration.

• Install, configure, and maintain various components of Splunk enterprise, like forwarders (universal and heavy), search heads, indexer, deployment manager, license master etc. on RHEL systems on cloud environment
• Configure and monitor data injection and app deployment to Splunk
• Work with Users to create reports and dashboards
• Promote changes created by developers through the SDLC and into the production
• Manage Splunk access following project's security requirements
• Monitor and report health of Splunk
• Maintain system availability and troubleshoot problems
• Find out areas of improvements
• Establish best practices and standards
• Define, track, and maintain system configuration documents and standards
• IAM integration
