Job summary

Pendleton County Schools is seeking a Substitute Itinerant Transportation/Classroom Aide to support student transportation and classroom activities. The role involves assisting with supervision on buses and in classrooms, and ensuring safety during transport.

Requires high school diploma or GED, background check, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Training in transportation procedures and CPI is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED required; state aide competency and WV aide certification pursued.
• Must pass criminal background check and CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with individualized attention on bus and in classroom.
• Assist with supervision of student passengers and maintain safe transport environment.
• Participate in Crisis Prevention Intervention training (CPI) when required.
• Maintain daily documentation records for Medicaid and school policies.
