Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in St. Louis, MO seeks a compassionate Spiritual Counselor to guide individuals facing addiction, homelessness, and life challenges through faith-based counseling and rehabilitation planning.

This full-time role supports community programs with structured spiritual care. You will conduct interviews, design rehabilitation plans, maintain case notes, collaborate with community agencies, and participate in program evaluation, reporting, and special projects while

Qualifications

• Deep desire to help people and share faith.
• Personal testimony of God's faithfulness.
• Some counseling experience preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Counseling & Assessment: Conduct in-depth interviews with new beneficiaries.
• Provide individual and group spiritual counseling.
• Design and manage individual rehabilitation plans.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness; lead interactive journaling and group sessions.
• Assess and address spiritual needs of beneficiaries.
