Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Fort Wayne is seeking a Spiritual Counselor. You will provide spiritual guidance and counseling to beneficiaries facing challenging situations and design individualized rehabilitation plans to support recovery.

Responsibilities include conducting interviews, delivering individual and group counseling, maintaining detailed case notes, and coordinating with community services to enhance program outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Counseling & Assessment: Conduct in-depth interviews with new beneficiaries
• Counseling & Assessment: Provide individual and group spiritual counseling
• Counseling & Assessment: Design and manage individual rehabilitation plans
• Counseling & Assessment: Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness
• Counseling & Assessment: Lead interactive journaling and group sessions
• Counseling & Assessment: Assess and address spiritual needs of beneficiaries
• Program Management: Maintain detailed case notes in Service Point database
• Program Management: Track rehabilitation progress and update plans as needed
• Program Management: Complete Self-Sufficiency Matrix assessments
• Program Management: Coordinate with community agencies for additional services
• Program Management: Develop and implement special projects as assigned
• Program Management: Monitor work therapy progress
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain secure online beneficiary files
• Documentation & Reporting: Complete weekly case notes and progress reports
• Documentation & Reporting: Update electronic records within deadlines
• Documentation & Reporting: Provide statistical information for monthly reports
• Documentation & Reporting: Document service delivery and program outcomes

Job description

Spiritual Counselor

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Schedule: Mid to evening shift

About The Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. You'll provide spiritual guidance and counseling to individuals facing various challenges including addiction, homelessness, and other life difficulties. This role is crucial in supporting our beneficiaries' recovery journey through spiritual guidance and rehabilitation planning.

What You’ll Do

Counseling & Assessment
