Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Chaplain Resident to assist with spiritual guidance and pastoral care for patients and families, under supervision. The role embraces psychological, religious, and theological insights to support diverse faiths and cultures.

The position involves documenting notes for medical staff, providing emotional support to employees, and participating in the CPE program to advance education and certification. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in theology or relevant field is required.
• Completion of one CPE unit is required.
• Affiliation with a recognized religious or spiritual group is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with spiritual care visitations to patients and provide consistent spiritual and emotional care.
• Support assessment of spiritual needs and provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Provide emotional and spiritual support to Cone Health employees.
• Write notes for the medical staff to help improve patient mindset and emotional comfort.
• Participate in all aspects of the CPE program to further education and certification.
• Perform administrative tasks to enable chaplains to focus on patient and staff consultations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
